Freelance Houseplant Specialist Assistant

  • Rita Botanicals is a small independent plant shop in the heart of Surrey, and we’re looking for someone passionate about houseplants who truly knows their stuff 🌿

    • General responsibilities include:-

    • Sharing awesome plant knowledge 😎

    • Plant care and maintenance
      Creating terrariums

    • Keeping the shop floor looking beautiful

    • Bringing plant deliveries up to the main shop

    • Supporting social media content creation
      Supporting day-to-day shop operations

    • Customer service is incredibly important to us, so we’re looking for someone warm, confident and knowledgeable - someone who genuinely loves helping people choose the right plants for their homes.

    • This role would suit someone who already has a part-time job or other commitments but would love to work flexibly around plants and meet lovely customers 🥰

  • Location: Guildford, Surrey

    Salary: £12.50 ph (with a planned increase from April).

    We’re Looking For: Some weekday availability. Flexibility to work occasional weekends

Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

Gardener

  • The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is the independent charity that cares for the world’s greatest Shakespeare heritage sites in Stratford-upon-Avon, and promotes the enjoyment and understanding of his works, life and times all over the world

    • The sustainable maintenance and care of the Trust’s gardens and land as required

    • Work in a safe and environmentally aware manner

    • Maintain operational experience levels in respect of garden machinery and chemical treatments, including maintaining certification where applicable

    • Responsible for the maintenance, inventory and security of Gardens equipment, tools and machinery

    • Responsible for own personal development and knowledge updates

    • Constantly strive to improve general knowledge, awareness of legislative changes and the use of new materials and methods

    • Contribute to an inclusive “whole team”-“whole Trust” approach to the work of Estates generally

    • NVQ level 2 horticulture, or extensive practical horticultural experience

    • A basic knowledge of horticultural practices, plants species and their husbandry

    • PA1 and PA6a spraying certification and a knowledge of appropriate fertiliser applications

    • An interest in garden design and border composition

    • Knowledge of Health and Safety best practice and procedures is essential

    • Skills in completing and interpreting work programs

    • Supervision of staff, volunteers, students

    • Clean driving licence

    • Towing experience (desirable)

  • Location: Stratford-upon-Avon

    Salary: £23,168.60 per annum, which is based on an hourly rate of £12.73.

    Hours: In a full-time position you will be contracted to work 35 hours per week. Your normal working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm.

    However, we can consider part-time positions working 14, 21 or 28 hours per week.

🌱 TikTok Live Presenter

    • WLKS Studios is looking for a confident, commercially driven TikTok Live Presenter to become the face of an exciting brand in the horticulture space.

    • This is not just a “go live and sell” role — this person will play a key part in shaping the brand’s identity, tone, and growth on TikTok Shop.

    • We’re working with a fast-growing garden products brand (bulbs, seeds, grow kits, compost, accessories etc) and need someone who can confidently educate & entertain LIVE.

    • Host regular TikTok Lives focused on product education and sales

    • Be the face of the brand on TikTok

    • Create short-form content (UGC-style & structured content)

    • Work closely with WLKS Studios on brand strategy and positioning

    • Help shape the tone, style, and image of the brand on social

    • Test formats, scripts, hooks, and live selling angles

    • Build trust and community with a gardening audience

    • Confident on camera (natural presenter energy)

    • Comfortable speaking live and thinking on your feet

    • Strong communication skills

    • Interest in gardening, growing, plants, or horticulture (essential)

    • Commercial mindset — understands conversion & selling

    • Creative input on brand direction

    • Reliable and professional

     

    Bonus if you:

    • Have prior TikTok Live experience (not required)

    • Have experience selling via TikTok Shop (not required)

    • Have worked in gardening, floristry, or plant retail (not required)

  • Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham

    Working Hours: This position is 24 hours per week - working across Monday - Friday.
